Mia founded Rose Tarbhai Law Group to give individuals and families rigorous legal work without losing the humanity of the matter. She represents clients in divorce, parenting, support, orders of protection, adoption, parentage, LGBTQIA+ family-law matters, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also assists with related estate planning.
Before opening the firm, Mia developed a complex-litigation toolkit at a major national law firm. Her legal experience includes trials, depositions, investigations, dispositive motions, and mediations. That background informs how she organizes evidence, tests assumptions, and prepares a family-law matter for negotiation or court.
Before practicing law, Mia spent ten years teaching. Her work as an educator—and her perspective as a mother—continue to shape the way she counsels clients: listen closely, explain the rule in plain language, build a usable plan, and prepare for the decision-maker who may need to understand the case later.
